Look deep into nature, and you will understand everything better.
June 13th – 1PM – 5PM
Please join us in person or from afar in celebrating the 75 full years of John Wojtyna’s life.
We will be gathering from 1–5 at the Frick Environmental Center.
There will be light refreshments and drinks, with both indoor and outdoor spaces to swap stories and share memories amongst friends and family.
There will be a toast at 3PM, followed by an open invitation for anyone who wants to share amongst all to do so.
Plant a tree to commemorate John’s passion for the natural world.
From backyard gardens, to tree commissioner, to courtyard beautification, he kept planting for decades and we encourage you to do the same to keep his memory alive.
John volunteered with Tree Pittsburgh, and we can’t think of a better way to remember him than supporting them to plant a tree in his honor.
Share your stories
Everyone has unique memories of their time with John. Sharing them lets us weave them together into a more complete picture of his life.
Share your photos
Sometimes a photo does what words cannot. Send along your favorite of John staring at a plant, pondering a bridge, or snoozing on the couch.
